Cammie was seen by our veterinarian, given medication, and immediately booked for life saving surgery to amputate her tail. He's a very sweet boy who needed some help. Sadly, Gunner suffered from horribly infected and painful ears. After doing a culture, it was found that he had 4 different types of infections along with polyps. This was not something that was going to clear up on its own and the only solution to helping Gunner was surgery on his ears to remove all of the infected tissue. Recap on Tom’s story: He is an approximately 8 year old male neutered grey/white cat that was brought to us by a kind person who refused to see him suffering outside alone. He had a large burst abscess on his head, a swollen face, infected ears, and entropion in both eyes. He had been in pain for quite some time. Thanks to our wonderful team at Oromocto Vet Hospital, we helped Tom heal from his wounds and recover from entropion surgery. His stitches were removed this past week and he is feeling great. Tom is finally living pain free and looking for his forever home! He has an amazing, spunky personality. When he isn’t exploring the shelter and head butting all over people, he’s lounging about the cat room appreciating the finer things in life… such as wet food and comfy beds. Tom has become accustomed to two canned food breakfasts in the morning, no ifs, ands, or buts! He absolutely adores head scratches but can become overstimulated and will let you know when he has been fussed over enough. He has been the ruler of the cat room so we aren’t sure if he would get along with other cats in his new home and recommend slow introductions. We don’t know if he likes dogs either.
