Though this section is updated regularly, this is not an exhaustive or complete list. If you are interested in meeting an animal listed below, please call the shelter at (506) 446-4107 to:
A) Make sure the animal is still available (and)
B) Make an appointment to meet them.
A valuable tool to use is the “I am Looking to Adopt a Dog” questionnaire.
Completion of this questionnaire (and submitting it to the shelter) is mandatory for all dog adoptions.

Thelma
The lovable, goofy Thelma is unfortunately back with us at the shelter, looking for her forever home.
Thelma is an approximately 4.5 year old, spayed mixed breed. She is a large, active dog with a big personality and is looking for someone who is able to continue working with her as she navigates the world. She is extremely food-motivated and loves to learn! She enjoys going for walks and playing with toys. She isn’t a fan of children and will not be placed in a home with them. She also doesn’t like cats. She is selective of other dogs (prefers males) but has done well with friends that match her rough-housing play style. Several meetings with a new canine friend may be necessary. Zoey
Zoey is a 5 year old female spayed German Shepherd mix that came to us with another dog from the NBSPCA Animal Protection when their beloved dad had a medical emergency and can no longer care for them. She is a lovely, active lady who is used to living with other dogs and would likely adjust well to new companions. We are not sure how she feels about cats. Jolene
Jolene is an approximately 3 year old German Shepherd that was brought to us by the NBSPCA Animal Protection Officers when she was found in the woods in rough shape. She was scared, covered in fleas, and thin. After spending some time with us healing from the itchy skin and getting comfortable with people, Jolene is feeling much better! She is a smart, energetic young lady who is looking for an active family to keep up with her mind and body. She has played with some dogs in the backyard and done well. We would do an introduction to any potential canine friends. We are not sure how she feels about cats. Jolene was in heat when she arrived at the shelter and must wait a bit before getting spayed. Rouge
Rouge is a 6 year old female spayed German Shepherd mix that came to us with another dog from the NBSPCA Animal Protection when their beloved dad had a medical emergency and can no longer care for them. She is a sweet, active lady who was quite nervous upon arriving at the shelter. Once she realized she was in good company, her personality blossomed! She is affectionate and outgoing. Her new family should be prepared to give her time to adjust to her surroundings. Rouge is used to living with other dogs and would likely adjust well to new companions.
