A) Make sure the animal is still available (and)
B) Make an appointment to meet them.

A valuable tool to use is the “I am Looking to Adopt a Dog” questionnaire. Completion of this questionnaire (and submitting it to the shelter) is mandatory for all dog adoptions. Thank you for taking this important first step.
Brutus & Annabelle
This is a special father/daughter duo that have been through a lot and are very bonded!
Brutus is a 9 year old male neutered tricolour husky mix (on the right) and Annabelle is 6 year old spayed female black/white husky mix (on the left). They were brought to us by the NBSPCA when they were found outside. They are both large, social dogs that are extremely bonded and must be adopted together. Due to their rambunctious personalities, they would be better suited for a home with older children. We do have information that they have been good with kids! In true husky fashion, they are very, very, VERY vocal and have demonstrated impressive houdini skills by breaking out of their outside kennels to play in the yard. We have not tested them with cats or had them out with other dogs.

Tonka
Tonka is an approximately 2 year old neutered male shepherd mix. He originally came to us through the New Brunswick SPCA with another dog. It took him a little while to adjust to the shelter environment and new people but opened up to show us his sweet, funny personality!
He was unfortunately returned after being adopted when he started showing resource guarding behaviour of his person. Due to this behaviour, we will not place him in a home with children. This tall, sweet boy has experienced a lot of change over the past few months, which can be difficult and confusing for any dog. Tonka is hoping to find someone that is committed to providing him with structure and stability to set him up for success while settling into his new home. He does not like cats but has done well with a few of the dogs at the shelter. He can be slow to warm up to new people and will likely require multiple visits. Once he feels comfortable with people, he is a big cuddle bug! Tonka is also very food motivated and intelligent.
